The return of the lost Kitty

One morning a client brought in 5 “feral” cats, which she had trapped at a retirement village in Arcadia, Pretoria. The cats were to be sterilized and then relocated. Our team noticed that one of the trapped cats had a collar on, with a name tag. The name on the tag was Mickey. We phoned the number on the tag and it turned out that Mickey belonged to a Mrs Rynveld who lives in Benoni! Mickey went missing 2 months previously, from Benoni, and they had been desperately searching for him ever since! Mickey’s mom was overjoyed when we phoned her with the news that Mickey was with us. She came to collect him an hour later, and they were happily re-united!

Here is a photo of Mickey lying happily back on the bed at his home- a little skinny, but otherwise healthy. How he got from Benoni to Arcadia, is still a mystery!
