I have always loved animals and initially grew up wanting to become a vet one day, however when it came time to pick my studies I ended up changing my career path to become a vet nurse instead. I realised that my true passion lies much more with caring for our hospitalised and surgical patients and making sure they get all the compassionate TLC they need to get well again. I joined Waterkloof Animal Hospital in 2007 straight after graduating, where I particularly like assisting in theatre with big surgeries. I have 5 furry kids of my own: Janneman, Lager and Pinksi are our dogs and Tulip and Floki are our cats; all of which are rescues.
